Who is responsible for your data?

Ann Van Malderen is the data controller for this website. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@annvanmalderen.be.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, we process your name (optional), email address, phone number (optional), and message. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry, provide requested information or advice, and follow up on any resulting professional relationship.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract where applicable (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and communicating with potential clients (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How contact data is handled

The website does not save contact-form submissions in a separate local database. The information is transmitted to Resend, our email delivery provider, and delivered to a receiving email account. Resend and the email provider process and may store the message as necessary to deliver and host the email. Access is limited to authorised persons and service providers. Contact data is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

Resend is based in the United States, so contact data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Resend provides safeguards for these transfers through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. More information is available in the Resend Data Processing Addendum.

Contact correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry and manage any resulting professional relationship, unless a longer period is required for contractual, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes. Resend and the receiving email provider also apply their own retention schedules.

Analytics, cookies, and technical logs

This website does not use analytics or advertising trackers and does not place tracking cookies. The hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request data, such as an IP address, timestamp, browser information, and requested page, where necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. This data is not used for advertising.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and, where applicable, request data portability. To exercise these rights, email info@annvanmalderen.be. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
